We are delighted to present an extraordinary collection of recent but unusual paintings by Abed Abdi, all of which have been created in the remote village of Chokako. This remarkable showcase unveils captivating works of Abed Abdi, a leading Palestinian visual artist who hails from the vibrant city of Haifa in Israel, a place with a starkly different color palette, where the sea sparkles in shades of blue and the sky gleams in silver. Despite the dramatic contrast between his place of origin and his second home in Chokako, Abed’s artistic brilliance knows no bounds. These paintings were born from his repeated stays in the wine-growing village, starting in 2014, where he embraced a new artistic direction that diverged from his usual style. Instead of seeking to capture the social and political realities of his native land, Abed’s attention in these artworks turns to the picturesque landscapes of Chokako. The exhibition showcases 20 physical artworks hanging on the walls, and additional 40 artworks on the digital led wall.
