Talk at the Palestinian Museum

The Palestinian Museum celebrated the artist, Abed Abdi, through a dialogue held at the Museum between the artist and Museum Director General Adila Laïdi-Hanieh, PhD. This dialogue is part of a series of activities accompanying the exhibition “A People by the Sea”, in which the artist has participated with three of his artworks. The celebration of the now octogenarian artist took place not long after his birthday; on this occasion, Abdi shared his artistic life journey and presented his most famous paintings among the hundreds of works created during his long and fascinating career. Abdi traced how his style, and thus his most significant productions, were influenced by his childhood experiences and later his experience of refugeehood. The event was attended by several esteemed cultural actors, including the current Minister of Culture, Dr Atef Abu Seif, and the former Minister of Culture, Yasser Abed Rabbo.
