In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Emile Habibi and Abed Abdi have worked together at Al Ittihad newspaper in Haifa.In 1974, Abed Abdi designed the cover for Emile Habibi’s book The Secret Life of Saeed the Pessoptimist (COVER by ABED ABDI)
In the 1990’s, Emile’s office was located right next to the studio of Abed Abdi in Haifa. After his death in 1996, Abed Abdi designed the tomb of Emile Habibi.
Emile Shukri Habibi (Arabic: إميل حبيبي, Hebrew: אמיל חביבי, 28 January 1922 – 2 May 1996) was an Israeli Arab[1] writer of Arabic literature and a politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the communist parties Maki and Rakah.
