Abed Abdi 1970s Artworks showcases a range of artworks created by Abed Abdi between 1972 and 1979, following his return from academic studies in East Germany. During this period, Abdi worked as the chief graphic editor for Al Ittihad newspaper and contributed illustrations to several Arabic-language publications.
Alongside these iconic black-and-white visual commentaries, Abdi continued producing paintings, prints, and mixed-media pieces reflecting the social and political realities of Palestinian life in Haifa and beyond. In 1974, he published his first illustrated album, a collection of 12 black-and-white works that captured the visual intensity and resistance ethos of the time.
