Bridges of Hope: two-week exchange program, developed in Germany with the artist Juliane Spitta, Abed ABDI, Margalit Berriet and professor Avner Giladi, Uta Forstat, in collaboration with the Odenwald-schuler: local youths, with Israelis and Palestinians youth, from the University of Haifa, working in dialogue on question of identities, memories, living together, while building a “monument” as a statement of dialogues in a cooperative
effort.

Carried out in summer 2003 at the Odenwaldschule Oberhambach.
For 14 days, 28 young people and 7 adults lived, worked and learned together. Out-Come: a monumental sculpture-fountain and mosaic was created as part of building common narratives, questioning (hi)stories, identities, symbolic references, and personal identities.
The Hebrew-Arab group from Israel continues to meet – at the University of Haifa and engaged in the Social Development of the community

The project was funded by SAP AG, the Federal Ministry for Youth and Social Affairs and other donors.
It was awarded the ” Democratic Action” prize by the Theodor Heuss Foundation, and the “ DEMOCRACIE” price by UNESCO in 2005.
The “fountain monument” is still in place, operating
